Millions and millions of patients, including patients with and without heart disease, have many mental illnesses that we have good treatments for. So they need to understand many other people have the same problems, and particularly during this COVID crisis, and that it is absolutely okay to discuss this with your doctors and to seek some mental health treatments. And in fact, there are very good treatments for this, involving sometimes drugs, but also a lot of other non-drug interventions for those who are concerned about that. It is paramount that they feel comfortable discussing this with us as healthcare professionals."
