- I thought it was really good science and really interesting to find that silent infarct may actually be a risk factor for stroke. So I think it's really great medicine, really great science. What's really interesting is that this were really focused on silent heart attacks, so people not even knowing that they've had these cardiac events in the past. And what's really interesting is that an EKG can simply be done if it were to move forward and we do more research in this area but EKG screening for silent infarct could be very simple and very inexpensive. And as a stroke physician, it's exciting to find that if we find that silent infarct truly is a risk factor for stroke, that we could target our secondary prevention organ primary prevention strategies, for these patients to reduce their risk of future stroke.
