Offering perspective on AHA Scientific Sessions 2020 Presentation P805 copyright American Heart Association 2020 "One group had to eat 80% of that calories before one p.m., and the other group had to eat 50%, at least 50% of their calories after five p.m. And so, in a nutshell, one group was having the bulk, at least 80% of their calories before one p.m., which we could sort of say lunchtime. The other group were having at least half their calories at dinner time. I mean, it's five p.m. I think we can sort of agree that is sort of dinner time. So that's the main study design. And what they found was, over a 12 week period, even though they controlled, they gave the participants the food. So both groups were matched for macronutrient. That's protein, carbohydrates, and fat, and they had the same amount of calories. That there were no differences in, well, both groups lost weight because they were both on a calorie restricted regime, but there was no difference in weight loss and no difference in any of the cardio metabolic parameters they looked at, such as blood pressure."
