Offering perspective on AHA Scientific Sessions 2020 Presentation P1036 copyright American Heart Association 2020 "This study's impressive, because they did note quite significant reductions in risk of cancer, mortality, cardiovascular mortality, and all-cause mortality. So, all of these were in the range of 20 to 26% reduction, which I think is quite significant, and warrants further follow up. But I think that putting this in the context of the healthy diet, is the best message that we can give everybody. And that is, consume a healthy dietary pattern that's rich in fruits and vegetables, and whole grains, and lean protein, and liquid vegetable oil. And I think then, use some chili pepper, to season things up. Cut back on sodium. Cut back on saturated fat. And cut back on added sugars as well. And then it's the total diet that we want people to focus on that's gonna reap the greatest benefits."
