Offering perspective on AHA Scientific Sessions 2020 Presentation P687 copyright American Heart Association 2020 "Although this study is a study in African American men, African American veterans, I think the message is universal, period. The message is universal because it's pretty clear from other studies in Australia/New Zealand where the population's predominantly Caucasian. That these observations are true and predict in terms of patients who have Afib and what you can do to make him have less atrial fibrillation. But, I think the patients studied were primarily Caucasian, but they were men and women. So I think the take-home message is this is almost certainly an observation that is universal and applies to men, women and for sure a variety of races, cultures, ethnicities."
